Culture Dialogs for Schools

Building a culture of prevention is a step towards achieving Vision Zero – a world of safety, health and well-being without accidents. But prevention does not start in the workplace. The first steps towards a safe and healthy life are taken in school. As children, we learn through play, naturally interacting with each other and learning the difference between right and wrong. We learn how to communicate and that sometimes words hurt more than a slap in the face. Next to our parents, the most influential people in childrens life are their teachers. Their knowledge is the foundation for the success of the next generation.

2 Days Educational Services

Now it is time to teach the teacher – choose 2 full days of pedagogical services:

  • Move it! – Movement à la Hengstenberg (Elfriede Hengstenberg’s Movement Promotion is based on allowing children to try things out for themselves using simple materials. This develops motor skills and self-confidence.
  • Give me time – The pedagogy of Emmi Pikler (Emmi Pikler’s pedagogy was revolutionary at the time, in the 1930s, and changed the way many experts looked at the treatment and education of a baby or young child. For Emmi Pikler, the communicative level was of paramount importance. Pikler’s pedagogy is essentially made up of the following three areas
    • relational care
    • autonomous development of movement
    • free play)
  • The basics of mediation – Working with emotions (The process by which someone tries to end a dispute by helping the two sides to talk about and agree on a solution: Many cases are settled out of court through mediation or other means. Working with emotions can be difficult. Children, in particular, often have difficulty explaining their feelings. Working with “emotion monster cards” can help.
