Sabine Merker

Sabine has more than 14 years’ experience in communications in various sectors, from education to tourism. She worked for six years as a consultant for public relations and project management at the Berufsgenossenschaft Brandenburg (Germany), where she was responsible for occupational health regulations, company health management and corporate communications. As a Master of Science in Communication and a certified mediator, she is well trained in conflict management and non-violent communication by Marshall Rosenberg. She is also a certified trainer by the Berlin Chamber of Industry and Commerce (Germany) and has taught numerous courses and workshops for private and public companies. Her focus is on the culture of prevention and communication.

Ralf Merker

Ralf worked for a German government institution for more than 20 years in various positions. Over 5 years deputy IT director. Responsible for several mission-critical database systems and the development of more than 40 Oracle Application Express (APEX) applications as Senior Database Administrator. In 2010, he was nominated for the German Green IT Award 2012 for his data centre project (budget €1.5m) for the Oder-Spree district, a local authority in Germany. His focus is on IT consulting and software implementation, including rollout planning and staff training. As a trainer and instructor, he teaches staff in face-to-face and online training sessions and has mentored students, including supervising their bachelor and master theses.
